FASTCAM Mini R-Series
True 4K high-speed imaging in a compact, rugged camera body for applications requiring a wide field of view and exceptional spatial detail.
Compact 4K Imaging System
The FASTCAM Mini R3-4K and Mini R5-4K use a proprietary 9.4-megapixel CMOS sensor to capture large spatial areas while preserving the fine image detail needed for demanding research, testing, and analysis.
The Mini R3-4K records 4,096 × 2,304 images at 750 frames per second, while the Mini R5-4K reaches 1,250 frames per second at the same full 4K resolution. At Full HD, performance increases to 3,000 fps and 5,280 fps respectively.
Both models combine 12-bit recording, a 2-microsecond global electronic shutter, class-leading light sensitivity, remote lens control options, 10-Gigabit Ethernet, and a sealed high-G-rated body.
4K performance in the compact Mini platform
Capture large scenes and small details at frame rates suited to automotive, aerospace, fluid dynamics, material testing, and scientific research.
Two 4K models for different speed requirements
Both models use the same compact platform, 9.4-megapixel sensor, lens options, sensitivity, 12-bit recording, networking, and software workflow.
