The FASTCAM POLARIS F5 is a new high-resolution high-speed camera designed around a 12-bit BSI sensor with a maximum resolution of 4,096 × 2,208 pixels.
POLARIS combines 4K imaging with frame rates designed for demanding high-speed measurement. The camera records 4,096 × 2,208 images at 5,000 frames per second and reaches progressively higher frame rates as resolution is reduced.
A high-capacity internal memory architecture, optional removable NVMe SSD storage, high-speed Ethernet camera control, flexible lens options, and dedicated synchronization connections make POLARIS suitable for demanding high-speed imaging installations.
