FASTCAM Mini UX
Outstanding high-speed imaging performance, compact construction, and flexible operation for scientific, industrial, and automotive testing.
Reliable high-speed imaging at an attractive price-performance ratio.
The FASTCAM Mini UX is designed for a wide range of general scientific and industrial applications requiring high image quality, compact size, and rugged construction.
Both Mini UX models use a proprietary 1.3-megapixel CMOS sensor with 10-micron pixels and microlens technology to improve effective fill factor and light sensitivity.
The compact 120 × 120 × 93 mm body weighs only 1.5 kg, making the Mini UX well suited to on-board automotive testing, off-board safety testing, laboratory research, and other applications where installation space is limited.

The Mini UX combines a compact mechanical design with the control, synchronization, and software features required for reliable high-speed recording.
1.3-Megapixel CMOS Sensor
Capture detailed 1,280 × 1,024 images using Photron’s proprietary CMOS sensor technology.
10-Micron Pixels
Microlenses increase effective fill factor to support strong light sensitivity from a compact image sensor.
Gigabit Ethernet
Reliable camera communication and fast image download to a standard notebook or desktop computer.
Nikon G-Type Lens Mount
Use readily available Nikon G-type lenses with built-in aperture control through the camera mount.
Optional C-Mount
Support compact 1-inch C-mount lenses for lightweight, rugged, and high-aperture optical configurations.
Flexible Synchronization
Synchronize the camera frame rate to external and unstable frequencies for advanced measurement setups.
Dedicated I/O
Trigger, sync, ready, event, IRIG, record, and exposure signals support multi-camera and DAQ integration.
Fan-Off Mode
Remotely stop the internal cooling fans to reduce vibration during high-magnification recording.
High-G Construction
Operationally tested to 100G for automotive safety testing, impact environments, and severe acceleration.
Efficient recording and software operation
Photron FASTCAM Viewer software is included for camera control, image replay, data saving, image enhancement, calibration, and basic motion analysis.
Up to 64 memory segments allow multiple events to be stored before downloading, while automatic download and re-arm functions support repetitive testing.
Anwendungen
The Mini UX is designed for general high-speed imaging across automotive, scientific, industrial, and engineering environments.
