Photron will launch a brand new high speed camera targeted at the broadcast industry at this month's NAB Show in Las Vegas.
Providing full 1080 HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) at frame rates up to 2,000 frames per second (fps), the Photron Fastcam BC2 HD has been painstakingly engineered to provide high quality, artifact free images, and set a new standard in high speed digital imaging.
Photron has drawn on knowledge gained from over thirty years experience in high speed imaging technology, including Academy and Emmy awards for technical achievements, to produce a slow motion camera ideally suited to commercial, motion picture, outside sports broadcast, and documentary production.
Andrew Bridges, Director of Sales and Marketing for Photron USA announced "From the 12-bit four mega pixel (2,048 x 2,048 pixels to 1,000 fps) advanced CMOS sensor to the camera's dual 'always live' HD-SDI outputs, the BC2 HD has been engineered to meet the requirements of a very demanding industry that has been forced to compromise for too long."
The BC2 HD is compatible with Sony HD viewfinders, ARRI Matte boxes, and is available with industry standard PL and B4, Nikon F and Canon EF lens mounts, an ARRI broadcast tripod plate, and Photron's rechargeable battery packs/belt. |
